Sandra's life began on January 8, 1940 to Orville and Verna (Smith) Hutson. She was united in marriage to Phillip Carter on June 10, 1961. Sandra worked hard for her family as a dietician aide for Cessna and later Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed taking her grandchildren shopping and spending time with family and friends. Sandra was a marvelous cook and loved to watch NASCAR racing. She was an excellent dancer as well. Sandra had a deep love for the Lord and enjoyed attending church. Her greatest joy was her family which includes grandchildren Theodore Carter, Chasity Carter, Donald Carter; great grandchildren Sophia, Hannah, Shea, Satchel, Skylar, Sierra; great-great grandchildren Sylvie-anne, Thomas, Silas, Stevie, Kyndi, Colin; brother and sisters Larry (Marcia) Hutson, Theodore Carter, Donald (Heather) Carter. Sandra passed away on December 30, 2025 in El Dorado. She is preceded by her husband, Phillip; grandson Chad Carter, brother Eddie Hutson, Eddie Hutson; sisters Mary Anna Hutson and Virginia Hutson and her parents. Friends may gather with the family from 10-11am on Tuesday, January 13 at Carlson Colonial Funeral Home where her funeral service will be held at 11am. Sandra will be laid to rest at Sunset Lawns Cemetery in El Dorado. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to the Wichita Women & Children Shelter.
