Sandra Lou Comstock

Sandra Lou Comstock, age 83, passed away peacefully February 27th, 2023, due to complications with cancer and congestive heart failure. She was born September 27th, 1939, in Grant Township Iowa to LaVerne M. and John B. Flynn. She was married to Larry Wayne Comstock, on July 6th, 1958, who preceded her in death May 3rd, 1997.
Sandy loved life and made those around her laugh and smile. She faced many fierce challenges throughout her life which molded her into a strong, independent yet kind and gentle person. She enjoyed so many things, the ocean, boating, fishing, new restaurants, her yard, flowers, and birds to name only a few. But most of all she loved spending time with and talking to her family.
Sandy began her career at Zenith in Sioux City, IA and later as a custodian at Dakota Valley Elementary in McCook Lake, SD. After her retirement she eventually moved to Oregon City, OR to be closer to family.
Sandra's life was a living example of the Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 - "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ."
Sandy is survived by her brother and his wife John and Bonnie Flynn, sister and her husband Chris and Skip Clarke, brother and his wife Rod Flynn and Cathy Conner and sister and her partner Jerry Flynn and Jan Jones; Her daughter and her husband Renee and Jim Gilmore, their two children, her son and his wife Brian and Karen Comstock, their three children and three grandchildren, her son and his wife Lance and Eva Comstock, their two children and the many cousins, nieces and nephews. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
Please join us celebrating her life Monday March 6th, 2023. The family will have a viewing at Hillside Chapel, 1306 7th street in Oregon City from 11:00am - 1:00pm. This will be followed by a graveside service at the Redland Pioneer Cemetery at the corner of S Redland and S Lyons roads at 2:00pm. Afterwards, there will be a remembrance and celebration of life at Comstock Acres, 19262 S Redland Road, Oregon City.
