Sandra Kaye Cude

Sandra Kaye (Pace) Cude, 83, of Elkton, VA passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at her residence.
Mrs. Cude was born on May 16, 1942 in Los Angeles, CA and was a daughter of the late Edgar and Lydia (Squire) Pace. On August 18, 1962 she married Donald Cude, who survives. She is also survived by her children, Michelle Cude of Elkton, Michael Cude and wife Febe of Seattle, and her grandchildren, Katerina, Anya, and Henry. Sandy was an elementary and music teacher.
She was committed to her church family in CA and then in VA after moving here in 1996. Singing in church choirs, keeping beautiful gardens, traveling globally and enjoying her family made her happiest. She will be remembered for her warm smile and gracious hospitality. Her love of Christ was her constant guide in life.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., at Harrisonburg Baptist Church, with Pastor Matt Winters officiating. The burial was held privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests all memorial contributions be made to Harrisonburg Baptist Church (noting for Sandy Memorial) or Horizons Learning Foundation, 3586 Horizons Way, Harrisonburg VA 22802. Following Sandy's wishes, donations will establish a music education program at Nasaruni Academy in Kenya.
