Sandra M. Danklefsen, 74, of Fremont, OH passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home on Saturday, July 27, 2024. She was born on April 1, 1950 in Fremont, OH to Mervin and Alice (Swartz) Keegan.
Sandy married Paul Danklefsen on December 30, 1977 in Green Springs, OH. She owned and operated Sandy’s Cakes & Pastries for many years, worked at Walmart for twenty years and then owned and operated Top Flight Kennel. Sandy was a Lifetime Member of the Green Springs VFW and enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, decorating and going to the races. Sandy was fully dedicated towards everything she placed her heart into.
Sandy is survived by her husband of forty-six years, Paul Danklefsen, Fremont, OH; son, Jody (Jill) Keegan; daughter, Buffy (Matt) Sours, all of Fremont, OH; stepdaughter, Beth (Tim) Brayman, Adrian, MI; siblings, Karen Bauman, Clyde, OH; twin brothers, Ronald Keegan, Alexandra, OH, Donald Keegan, Fremont, OH, Darlene Hollis, Fremont, OH, Cinda Keegan, Fremont, OH, Kimberly (Mike) Clevinger, Republic, OH, David Keegan, Green Springs; nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Daniel Keegan.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at Horvath Hanes Funeral Home, 211 N. Broadway St, Green Springs, OH 44836.
Memorials can be made in Sandy’s honor for her great grandson, Leo, to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
