Sandra Lee Detty

Sandy L. (Weidman) Detty, 79, of Greenwood, Indiana passed away on December 24, 2024. Sandy was born on January 15, 1945, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Frederick and Bessie (Miller) Weidman. Sandy was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and member of the Center Grove community. She served on the board for Center Grove Lassie League for several years. She worked at Community Hospital Network for 25 years. Sandy's passion in life was her family. She truly enjoyed watching her daughters and grandchildren play sports and perform in the marching band. She rarely missed an event, but she was always there in spirit when she couldn't be there in person. Sandy was a very kind and selfless person who was always willing to help when needed. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Sandy is survived by her four daughters, Debbie (Mike) Bertram, Julie (Matt) Detty-Gin, Stacy (Jason) Detty, Erin (Todd) Detty-Greschaw; eight grandchildren, Tyler, Jacob, A.J., Hannah, Alex, Jackson, Annabelle, Peyton; her sister, Audrey Kortzendorf and several nieces and nephews.
Sandy is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Detty; and her siblings Fred, Stan, Beverly, Sharon, and Mike.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 30, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church (Madonna Hall), 335 South Meridian Street, Greenwood, IN 46143 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. She will be laid to rest at The Gardens at Olive Branch.
