Terrie E. Detty

Terrie E. Detty, 69, of Chillicothe Ohio passed away on March 27, 2024 at 1:14 pm, at her residence following an extended illness, (accompanied by her daughter Jessie and her hospice nurse). She was born on June 13th 1954 in Chillicothe Ohio to Maynard and Shirley (Davis) Detty.
She is survived by her daughter, Jessie Detty, several brothers and a sister. She was preceded in death by her father and mother.
She was a 1972 Graduate of Chillicothe High School. Terrie worked for Mead/Chilpaco Paper company for 38 years before retiring.
Terrie was a beloved mother, sister, daughter, aunt, or friend to all who knew her. After retirement Terrie cherished spending her time hanging out with family and friends. Family and friends were everything to her. Although she never had grandchildren of her own, Terrie treated all the little ones of family and friends, as if they were her own. She frequently enjoyed Patio Night at the Chillicothe Paints Games. Terrie had a great love of music from many genres. Sewing, crafting, and reading were just a few of her hobbies. She was a member of The Red Hat Society. Terrie was a very generous person, giving to charities such as St. Jude’s, Shriners Hospital, Veterans Of Warfare, and others.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday April 5, 2024 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Dean Hughes, officiating. Burial will follow in Little Mound Cemetery, Richmond Dale. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
