Robert Dale Brown

Robert (Bob) Dale Brown, 85, passed from this life to his Heavenly home on August 8, 2024. He was born to Dale and Annabel Brown on March 4, 1939 in Chillicothe, Ohio. On April 14, 1961, Bob married Beverly Rose Minor, who survives.
Bob graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1957. Three days after graduation, he entered Fort Knox, KY, where he spent a six-month tour and then several years in the Army Reserve. He was employed by Brown's Well Drilling, Earl Cook Contractor, Chillicothe Gazette, and finally 38 years with the State of Ohio Highway Dept. as a draftsman. He was promoted to a Supervisor of survey crews until his retirement in 1997. He was a member of the Logan Elm Lodge #624 F & M.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, grandfathers, brothers-in-law, Roger Harkins, and Neil Leatherwood, uncles and cousins, father and mother-in-law, Ernest Minor and Ruth Neff Minor, and grandmothers-in-law.
Bob is survived by a sister, Patricia Harkins, niece, Dalene Kennedy (Craig), nephews, Roger Alan Harkins, and Robbie Harkins (Sheryl) and children. Bob is also survived by brothers-in-law, Dale R. Minor and Randy S. Minor, sisters-in-law, Barbara Leatherwood, Judy Irwin, Thelma (Leonard) Tippie, and Susan (Cliff) Warner. He is also survived by nephew, Scott (Nancy) Picklesimer, and several nieces & nephews, and great nieces & nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday August 14, 2024 in Springbank Cemetery, with Pastor Dale R. Minor officiating. Calling hours will not be observed. Bob was a friend to all and never met a stranger. He will be greeted in Heaven by God and friends.
