Lloyd C. Gossett, 85, of Chillicothe passed from this life on Sunday February 2, 2025 in the Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was born on September 8, 1939 in Bainbridge, the son of Lloyd E. and Lenna R. (Grady) Gossett. On September 12, 1960 he married Majel M. Haynes, who preceded him in death on December 10, 2007.
Surviving are his children, Sheila (Howard) Beatty, Alan Gossett, and Tami (Nick) Kraynek, grandchildren, Craig (Janet) Beatty, Andrea Wales, Shane Gossett, Gracie (Daniel) Hines, Phillip Kraynek, and Sarah Kraynek, great-grandchildren, Claire Beatty, Bridgett Beatty, Amelia Wales, R.J. Wales, Shane Gossett, Jr., Sofia Gossett, and Serenity Gossett. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Patricia Gossett.
Lloyd was a 1958 graduate of Chillicothe High School. He retired from the Mead Corp. as a Stock Prep Operator. Following his retirement, he volunteered countless hours at the Adena Regional Medical Center from 2009 to 2020. Lloyd loved photography, collecting coins, and his cats. Before his illness, he enjoyed doing yardwork, and helping people by doing odd jobs. He will be greatly missed.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday February 8, 2025 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Bruce Hines officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday.
