Sandra Dovel Obituary
June 8, 1960 – February 15, 2026
Sandra Dovel, 65, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 15, 2026. Born on June 8, 1960, Sandra lived a life grounded in faith, love, and devotion to her family. She was a woman whose gentle spirit and caring heart reflected the light of Christ to everyone who knew her.
Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Darrell and Peggy Knight, and her sister, Darlene Hendriksen. While her family grieves her passing, they find comfort in God's promise of eternal life and the assurance that she is now resting in His heavenly embrace.
She leaves behind her devoted companion, Kenneth "Rabbit" Shifflett, who stood faithfully by her side. She is also survived by her loving sister, Rebecca Meadows and husband Martin Meadows; her brothers Darrell "Butch" Knight and wife Joan Knight, brother Gregory Knight and Son Jimmy Truax.
She will be deeply missed by her cherished nieces-Tiffany Courtney, Melissa Jones, Leslie Wright, and Peggy Knight-and her nephews Talon Knight, Gregory Knight, and Jake Knight and Grandchildren, Gracie and Isaiah Truax. Sandra's love for her family was steadfast and unconditional, and she treasured every moment spent together.
Sandra's life was a testament to faith, forgiveness, and quiet strength. She believed deeply in the power of prayer and trusted in God's plan through every season of life. Though her earthly journey has ended, her legacy of love and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
The family takes comfort in the words of Scripture:
"Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord." - Matthew 25:23
Sandra will be forever loved, forever remembered, and forever reunited with us in God's perfect time.
