Sandra (Sandy) Jane Floom (nee Collins)

June 14, 1947 - January 9, 2026

After a long period of declining health, Sandy entered into the presence of the Lord, whom she acknowledged as her Savior.

Sandy was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Ake; her mother, Ruth Wood; her father, Raymond Collins; her step-father, Leland Wood; and her brother, Dan Collins.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Jeff) Igleheart, grandchildren: Sarah (Paul) Ensogna, Aaron Igleheart, Brittany Ake (Anthony), Brianna Ake, and Alex Ake (Melanie). She is also survived by her siblings, Kay (Jim) Singhass, Ted (Linda) Collins, Jim (Melodie) Wood, Frank (Nancy) Wood, and sister-in-law, Lynette Collins; as well as several loving nieces and nephews.

When Sandy was younger, she gave much of her time to caring for her family, along with serving as Girl Scout troop leader, PTA President, and coordinating Vacation Bible School at her church. Later, she began a career of nearly 20 years as a tax preparer for H&R Block. She thoroughly enjoyed doing taxes and was the go-to person for family and friends for many years.

In the last several years, Sandy enjoyed watching her favorite Hallmark channel, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and playing solitaire or mahjong on her tablet.

Though we mourn her passing, we are sustained by the hope that she is resting peacefully in God's eternal care. There are currently no plans for a formal service.
