Sandra Frantsvog, 74, Minot, ND, passed away Friday, June 24, 2022, at Trinity Hospital in Minot.
Sandra "Sandy" Lou Hoffer was born in Harvey, North Dakota, to Arnold and Bertha (Klingman) Hoffer on January 18, 1948. Sandy was raised on the family farm near Kief, North Dakota and went to school in Drake, graduating in 1966. Growing up on the farm was often hard, but those challenges strengthened her tenacious character and provided a solid foundation for the life she would build.
Sandy married Robert "Bob" Frantsvog on January 14, 1967, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Butte, North Dakota. Sandy and Bob lived in Butte for a short time before moving to Minot. While in Minot she worked for several local businesses including Tempo, United Building Centers, and Menards. Sandy was always hardworking, but continually remained focused on her family and friends. She would do anything for those she cared about. Sandy was an amazing wife, mother, and friend. We will all miss her dearly.
Sandy is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Frantsvog, Sr., who passed away on February 17, 2020; son, Robert Frantsvog, Jr.; her parents, Arnold and Bertha Hoffer; siblings, Jeff Hoffer, Lyle Hoffer, Karen (Hoffer) Bredine, Elaine (Hoffer) Hartzell, Linda (Hoffer) Close, Margaret (Hoffer) Rodgers; brothers-in-law, Darold Frantsvog and Richard Frantsvog; sister-in-law, Elaine (Frantsvog) Hoime; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sandy is survived by her children, Travis (Ginger) Frantsvog, Dean (Sara) Frantsvog, Becky (Terry) Lee, and David (Shanda) Frantsvog; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her brothers, Loren (Anita) Hoffer, Joel (Rae) Hoffer; her sisters, Lynette (Rick) Stensby and Sharon Hoffer.
