Sandra “Sandi” Rene Going, 75-year-old Ketchum resident, passed away Monday, June 23, 2025, at home. She was born October 24, 1949, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Raymond Tislow and Mary Mangrum and step-father Louis Mangrum.
After graduating from high school, Sandi worked in a beauty shop in Tulsa for over twenty years. She moved to Salina, Oklahoma and opened a bait store. After selling the store, she delivered bait to all the lakes across Oklahoma. This job is where she met James Going. Together, they owned and operated “Place 85” in Ketchum. After selling the store, she started “Puppy Coat Junction” dog grooming and later retired after multiple successful business ventures.
Sandi has always had a love for animals and for the underprivileged. She helped in nursing homes; if a patient did not have family, she became their family. She loved kids and was noted to say, “they were all her kids.” She had a heart of gold and would help people with anything she could.
Sandi always encouraged the younger ones to do their best and was their biggest cheerleader. One of the kids said it best, “I was blessed to know her. She gave me hope and plenty of smiles. She saw the real me and gave me a chance. She is one of God’s greatest teachers and mother to so many.”
Sandi was a faithful member of the Ketchum Church of Christ, and her wish was for all enjoy life and family and to trust in God; time is short.
Sandi is survived by her sister, Patricia Erwin of Ketchum; son, Bill Wiford and wife, Donna of Miami; niece, Brandy Reynolds of Ketchum; grandchildren, Holly Brodrick, Stephen Bradley Jr., Peyton Bradley, and McKenzie Bradley; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Going; her parents; and her granddaughter, Carrie Wiford.
