Sandra “Sandi” Faith Clark (Goheen) Hansen, 75, of Cheraw, Colorado passed away February 3, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 27, 1949, in Belleville, Illinois to Herbert & Martha Fayth Marie (Lechner) Clark.

As an educator for many years in public schools, Sandi dedicated her life to shaping young minds. Sandi started her education career as a teacher of music in Pueblo and shortly thereafter started on a path to administration. Her administrative career included roles as assistant principal at Keating Alternative School in Pueblo. After meeting her future husband Larry, she assumed the role of Principal at Las Animas Middle/High School. Later in Sandi’s career, she took on the role of Middle School Principal in Rocky Ford. After Sandi’s service in K-12 Public Education, she moved to the state level where she provided leadership and consultation for teachers, administrators and school districts for the next 8 years. For the last 4 years of her career, Sandi worked for Edison Learning, where she provided direct support to school and district leadership as well as teachers to increase achievement in traditionally low-performing, high poverty schools.

Her passion for teaching was only surpassed by the love she held for her family. She created a nurturing environment not only in the classroom but also at home, where family dinners became a cherished tradition. Sandi had a unique talent for cooking huge meals that brought everyone together, especially during the joyous Hansen Christmas celebrations and the delightful family gatherings at their cabin.

Sandi’s adventurous spirit was a defining element of her personality. She embraced life with enthusiasm and a sense of exploration. Her love for hunting and fishing spoke to her connection with the great outdoors; going rock hounding brought her endless joy and excitement as well. Traveling the open roads in the motorhome with her beloved husband, Larry, allowed them to create unforgettable memories. Their adventures together were filled with laughter and the warmth of companionship.

A special memory she had was river-raft floating with her brothers, which brought her immense happiness, as these moments embodied both adventure and camaraderie. Sandi had a deep affection for her loyal dog, who was a constant companion by her side. But above all, Sandi's greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She could often be seen watching them participate in their sporting events, her pride evident as she cheered them on.

Sandra is survived by her beloved husband, Larry Hansen; children, Scott (Desiree) Goheen; and Geoffry Goheen; Lynea Hansen and Betsy Hansen; grandchildren, Emberlyn Goheen, Samuel Goheen, Mykale Goheen, Kyllian Goheen, Sierra DeLeon, Sidney DeLeon, Brooklyn DeLeon, and Rylan DeLeon; siblings, Jim (Jeanne) Clark; Dan (Sharon) Clark; and Cheryl Koenig. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert W. & Fayth M. Clark; father & mother in-law, Hans & Geraldine Hansen; sister, Wendy Clark Redard; sister-in-law, Barbara S. Clark; and ex-husband, Steve A. Goheen.

Sandi will be remembered for her kindness, her adventurous heart, and the way she illuminated the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy will live on through the hearts she touched, the family traditions she cultivated, and the memories she created along her remarkable journey.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 10, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel in La Junta. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Valley Trading Post (23056 Hwy 350; La Junta, CO 81050) with Pastor Steve Hicks officiating.
