Sandra Kay Rubin was born on June 10, 1955, in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, to Frederick "Ted" and Helen Josephine (Grubaugh) Rubin. On August 14, 1991, she married Randy Gene Hoyle, and together they shared 34 wonderful years of marriage.
Sandy was known for her exceptional culinary skills, which she honed throughout her life. Her career included various roles, but she was most proud of owning and operating her own restaurant, "The Family Café." Sandy's vibrant personality, cheerful spirit, and strength left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
She enjoyed pampering herself with manicures, pedicures, and hair appointments. Sandy found joy in cooking, grocery shopping, and shopping in general. She loved listening to music-especially the "oldies"-and playing cards, with "Blitz" being her favorite game. Above all, Sandy cherished the time spent with her family.
She will forever be remembered by her husband, Randy Hoyle of Vandalia; son, Danny Hurren and wife Beth of Vandalia; daughter, Shannon Brauer and husband Scott of St. Peter; step-sons, Mike Hurren and wife Shea of Altamont and Jason Hoyle and wife Michelle of Vandalia; step-daughters, Angie Springman and husband Brice of Vandalia, Gina Hoyle of Vandalia, and Tara Pruett and husband Derek of Brownstown; sister, Susie Bowyer of Dearborn Heights, MI; 22 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Tommy Rubin and Freddy Rubin.
