SANDRA LEE HUGHES
February 12, 1942 - December 5, 2025
Sandra Lee McClymonds was born in
Harrisburg, PA on February 12, 1942 to the late Ed and Evea Houk McClymonds. The family moved to the North Hills of Pittsburgh, PA in 1947 where she was raised. She attended North Hills High School and Robert Morris College where she prepared for her career as an executive assistant, eventually retiring from Deloitte and Touche in 2014.
Sandra married her first husband, James Yoder, in 1962 and they raised 4 children, James Yoder (
Naples, FL); Michael Yoder (Pittsburgh, PA); Laura Artman (
Naples, FL); and David Yoder (Durango, CO). At that time, tennis was a large part of her life playing with her husband and watching her children in all of their activities.
In 1994 Sandra married John Hughes and took up the game of golf. Her "claim to fame" is the fact that she had two hole-in-ones!! They remained in the North Hills until 2013 when they relocated to
Naples, FL. to be near two of the children and several grandchildren. The joys of her life are her children, grandchildren and great grandchild. She enjoyed the "good life" at the poolside!!
Sandra is survived by her four children and their spouses, 12 grandchildren, great grandchild, Liam James Losey (Tampa, FL), her brother Fred L. McClymonds (Cynthia) and several nephews and cousins.
