Sandra Isaac Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear sister, aunt, and friend, Sandra Louise Isaac, 69, of Enfield, who went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, September 26, 2025.
Sandra was born in Hartford, daughter of the late Guss and Lois (Thompson) Isaac, and graduated from Hartford High School. She received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Connecticut and was employed in the records division at Phoenix Mutual for over 15 years. Sandra then accepted a position as a Para Educator at CREC Discovery Academy, where she positively affected the lives of hundreds of young people for the next 11 years as a teacher, mentor, and friend. She was generous with her time and talents and enjoyed going the extra mile every day for her students and tutoring them whenever they needed her. Sandra's strong work ethic and drive inspired her family and friends to be the best they could be every day. She loved the Lord with all her heart and was a faithful lifelong member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Hartford, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, Choir Member, and Praise Dancer.
Sandra was a kind, compassionate, and dynamic woman who had an amazing zest for life and loved her family more than anything. She was fiercely loyal to her family and friends and always made sure they had everything they needed. Sandra had a great sense of humor and will fondly be remembered for her infectious laugh and a smile with killer dimples that would light up a room. She was strong and independent and never let her illness define the person that she was. With quiet strength, Sandra overcame the obstacles and pain she was experiencing with faith and dignity.
Sandra enjoyed cooking and her signature dish was her famous Mac & Cheese. She loved reading, dancing, singing, listening to music, especially Gospel and old school R&B, and traveling with her partner in crime, her sister, Susan. Sandra also loved to watch classic television shows, but her guilty pleasure was Court TV, and she could spend hours watching how cases played out in court.
Sandra leaves a legacy of beautiful memories that will live in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.
Sandra leaves to celebrate her life, her siblings, Lisa Isaac, Frederick Isaac, Susan Hutchinson and her husband Frank, Janette Isaac, and David Isaac and his wife Linda; her brother-in-law, William H. Tolliver, Sr.; nieces and nephews, Faith Whitlock and her husband Bryan, William H. Tolliver, Jr. and his wife LiTerri Tolliver, Rhea Franklin, Rebecca Hutchinson, and Kenneth Bernard; great nieces, Leonna Branham and Wisdom Tolliver; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Denise Isaac-Tolliver.
Her family will receive friends on Friday, October 24, 10-11 a.m., with a Celebration of Life, 11 a.m., at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 2 F.D. Oates Ave., Hartford.
Burial will be private.
