Sandra Kaminski, 80, made her journey on the stairway to heaven on September 19, 2025 with her family by her side. Born in Amsterdam, NY, she was one of four siblings born to the late Henry J. Kaminski Sr. and Irene Chmielewicz Kaminski.
Sandra was a community member of Niskayuna for many years. Sandra was a graduate from Mohonasen High School and went on to earn her degree from NYU in accounting with a minor in Finance and Banking. She obtained her Insurance brokers license and held various positions in her field in the New York City and Orange County, New York areas.
Sandra had a fond love of the outdoors and could be found bike riding daily throughout her 79th year of life. She had endless hobbies which were self-taught, including gardening (with her green thumb), knitting, painting, music, cooking, yoga, animals, reading and researching all interests to the fullest extent. Sandra never missed sending a card for any special occasion to family and friends and it was often hand made with her special artistic touch.
Sandra was devoted to God, always sharing her love for her faith. She also enjoyed providing gifts to others or spending time with those in need. Sandra’s church family at St Kateri Tekakwitha Parish held a special place in her heart where she was a dedicated choir singer. She prided herself in helping the Church stay organized, clean and maintained and often spoke of the many dear friends she had met there and treasured.
Sandra’s fun holiday spirit, advice and endless love will be forever missed by her family.
Sandra was the cherished aunt to Tami (Kyle) Kapusinsky, loving great aunt to Collin, Ryan, Justin and Ashley Kapusinsky. She is also survived by her lifelong sister in law and friend, Sharon Kaminski; and special cousin to Kathy Longe.
Sandra was welcomed home to our lord in heaven by many loved ones who passed before her.
