Sandra Kay Kappes

Sandra Kay Kappes, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 10, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on July 1, 1949, in Chickasha, Sandra lived a life rooted in faith, family, and creativity.
Sandra is survived by her sons, David Steele and his wife Michele, and Michael Steele; her grandchildren, Cheyenne Steele and wife Sarah, Mason Steele, and Chloe Kappes; and her great-grandson, Henry Steele. She is also survived by her sisters, Amanda Klinglesmith and Rheta and husband Ray Mosley; her brothers, Andy Schuessler and wife Teresa, and Randy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kappes, and her parents.
A woman of deep faith, Sandra loved the Lord with all her heart. Her life reflected that love in the way she cared for others, created beauty, and found joy in life's simple treasures.
Sandra had a passion for crafts and was especially talented in sewing and embroidery. She enjoyed collecting miniature chairs and had a special eye for antiques and hidden treasures. She also loved to cook and was known for coming up with new recipes to share with those she loved.
Sandra's legacy is one of love, creativity, and unwavering faith. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the joy of knowing her.
