Sandra Kay (Prybyski) Leach, age 78 of Midland, passed away peacefully on November 14th, 2024, with family by her side. She was born on March 14th, 1946 to the late Joseph and Eva Prybyski. Sandy loved her family deeply. She was the most sweet, caring, and giving individual, always ready to lend a helping hand. Sandy married Larry Leach on July 2nd, 1965 at Aldersgate Church.
Sandy was a homemaker. She enjoyed helping and giving back to others by cleaning houses for many years. Those families became like family to her. She also enjoyed working at the Bullock Creek Schools in the kitchen, as well as many other part time jobs throughout her life. She loved camping, especially in Cadillac, where she enjoyed spending time with her husband. She especially loved it when her family, especially her grandsons, joined her. Sandy and her husband made many lifetime friends while camping. Many memories were made with extended family and friends for many years.
Surviving is her husband, Larry, and their children, Scott (Georgina) Leach, Kevin Leach, and Krista (Mitch) Tate. Her grandsons, Zachary Leach, and Gavin and Caden Tate, who cherished her as "grammy." She also leaves behind her sisters, Carol Haut and Sharon Weisheim, along with many nieces, nephews, and a great-grandson and great-granddaughter. In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her brother Dan Prybyski, and her granddaughter, Cari Hale.
Sandy was an integral part of her church community at Aldersgate Church, where she served in various capacities including greeter, food preparation for funerals and events, and communion server.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 22nd at 12:00 pm at Aldersgate Church in Midland. The service will be officiated by Pastor Michael and Pastor Matthew. Visitation will be the same day from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to Heart to Heart Hospice of Saginaw, or Aldersgate Church of Midland.
