Sandra "Sandy" Roberts Lowder, 71, entered into the eternal presence of God on November 20, 2025. Born on March 21, 1954, she was the cherished daughter of Jim and Peggy Roberts and a lifelong source of joy, laughter, and care for all who knew her.

Sandy devoted 33 years of her life to serving children as a CMS Teacher Assistant at Paw Creek Elementary School. With patience, kindness, and a gift for making every child feel seen, she helped shape countless young lives. A proud 1972 graduate of West Mecklenburg High School, Sandy carried the friendships and lessons of those years with her throughout her life.

A faithful member of Christ United Methodist Church, Sandy lived out her discipleship with her whole heart. She sang with joy in the choir, taught Sunday School with a gentle spirit, and served through United Methodist Women and many other mission ministries. Her faith was vibrant and active-expressed not only in church but in the way she cared for people every single day.

Sandy is survived by her daughter, Shelley Gadd (husband, Adam Gadd), her beloved granddaughter, Berkley Gadd, who brought her immense pride and was the light of her life; her sister, Terri Deese; her brother, Tim Roberts (wife, Karen Roberts); and several nieces and nephews who adored their Aunt Sandy.

Her family and friends will especially miss her daily "Sandy Sprinkle" weather report-her signature way of checking in-and the frequent "roll call phone calls" she initiated to make sure every family member was accounted for, cared for, and loved.

Sandy "Grandy" leaves behind a legacy of compassion, faithfulness, and steady love. She will be dearly missed and joyfully remembered.

Visitation will be held at 3:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 4:00pm, at Christ United Methodist Church, 8020 Bellhaven Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28216.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church General Fund.
