Sandra M. Marrs

Sandra M. Marrs, 84, of Corry, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at LECOM Senior Living Center, Erie, PA.

She was born on May 7, 1941, in Corry, PA, a daughter of the late Merle and Mildred (Lindstrom) Akam.

Sandy was raised and educated in Corry and attended Corry Area Schools. She then married and stayed home to raise and care for her family. In 1965, Sandy worked for Corry Memorial Hospital as a nurse's aide and later as an operating room technician. She retired in 2003.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Marrs Sr.; sister, Kathleen Dahl and brother, James Akam.

Sandy is survived by her daughter Cindy (Kyle) Fietzer of Manawa, WI; four sons, Richard "Rick" (Susan) Marrs Jr of Corry, PA, John (Joanne) Marrs of Landisville, PA, Randy "Bub" (Amy) Marrs of Columbus, PA and Joe (Caryn) Marrs of Corry, PA and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call at Bracken Funeral Home, Inc., 315 N. Center St, Corry, PA 16407 on Monday, February 2nd from 12 pm until the time of the funeral service there at 2 pm. Rev. Brian Eiss will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to LECOM Senior Living Center, 5535 Peach St, Erie, PA 16509.
