Reid McCray Obituary
Born to Quentin and Bertha McCray on July 20, 1965, he was raised in Corry and attended Sunday School at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Reid attended Columbus Elementary School and graduated from Corry Area High School in 1983. He served in the United States Air Force, stationed in Hawaii until he was honorably discharged after four years.
After attaining his electrical degree from Triangle Tech, he married Tami Lynn Phelps of Corry on July 24, 2004.
Reid was employed by the Corry Housing Authority, working with this good friend Steve Tinko, for over 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and by two brothers-in-law Tom McAteer and Jeffrey Phelps.
Reid is survived by his wife, Tami, his mother-in-law, Sherry Upperman Greenwood; five siblings: Jack (Janet Brown) of Denver, CO, Eric (Dawn Cox) of Corry, PA; Vida McCray of Fort Wayne, IN; Ione (Jamie) Lollar of Knoxville, TN; and Jean (Dale) Ballerstein of Westfield, NY; and a brother-in-law Todd Phelps of Corry, PA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
This is the firvent wish of Reid and his family. If you have a friend or family member with alcohol addiction, please do everything in your power to help them achieve sobriety.
Funeral services will not be held at this time, but a Celebration of Life will be held in Corry at a later date if it ever warms up.
Arrangements are under the care of Bracken Funeral Home, Inc., 315 N. Center St, Corry, PA 16407.

I remember Reid when he& Steve Tinko did maintenance at Pleasant St.Manor,I was a caregiver to several people there& my encounters with both were respectful & at times entertaing. The residents there all like Reid ,thought him a nice&,patient& helpful person.My deep condolences to his family from a understanding heart.
