Sandra Kay Nutt, 79, of Jonesboro, went to her heavenly home on Friday, January 2, 2026, at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born on August 18, 1946, in Jonesboro to the late Tony and Peggy Adams.
Sandra was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She worked for many years as a hairdresser alongside her mother and later was the owner of Border Connections. She was a faithful member of Prospect Missionary Baptist Church.
Sandra was a gifted cook who could prepare or bake anything, and whatever she made was always amazing. Her greatest joy, however, was being a mother and grandmother, and she cherished every moment spent with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Brandon Nutt.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Wayne Nutt, of the home; one son, Erich Nutt (Rowena) of Georgetown, Texas; one sister, Toni Warner (Kevin) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; four grandchildren, Tyler, Evan, Brayden, and Yvoh; and one great-grandchild, Evelyn.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Prospect Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Mike officiating. Burial will take place afterward at Macedonia Cemetery. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
