Sandra Lorraine Eaton, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, just days shy of her 88th birthday.
Born in Huntington, New York, on August 21, 1937, Sandra lived a life full of creativity, compassion, and unwavering love for her family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jane Tetrault; father, Allen Owen; her cherished son, Thomas Eaton; and her beloved brother Allen D. Owen.
Sandra was an animal lover through and through, with a special affection for cats, horses, and dogs. Her artistic talents emerged early in life, leading her to graduate from art school and become an avid artist. Her love for color, design, and expression touched many.
Later in life, Sandra brought that same creativity and care into her successful career as a bakery owner at Ole Town Bakery, where she was known for beautifully decorated cakes and warm hospitality. Her work brought joy to countless birthdays, weddings, and celebrations.
Family meant everything to Sandra. She is survived by her three daughters: Noel Chaney (and husband, Tommy Chaney), Lorraine, and Crystal. She also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Sandra’s kindness, strength, and artistic spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the lives she touched, the family she adored, and the beauty she brought into the world.
To celebrate Sandra’s life we ask in lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in her memory to a local animal rescue or shelter, honoring her lifelong love of animals — and/or, in Sandra’s spirit, stop by your nearest nursing home, visit a resident who may not receive many guests, and brighten their day with a bouquet of flowers.
