Kathryn Renee Bowman, affectionately known as Katie, left this world on October 3, 2025, after a life marked by resilience and warmth. She passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving parents, Charlie and Kelly Raynes Bowman, who dedicated their lives to nurturing and supporting her through every moment. Born on September 27, 1985, in Patrick County, Virginia, Katie became the embodiment of grace amid life's struggles. She was preceded in death by her beloved paternal grandparents, Harry Reid Bowman and Martha Collins Bowman, and her maternal grandfather, Thomas Russell Raynes, along with her uncle, James Elwood Raynes. She was a proud high school graduate of Patrick County High School. Katie had a smile that could light up even the darkest days, coupled with a laughter that resonated joyfully in the hearts of all who knew her. Her love for travel allowed her to explore the wonders of the world, and she cherished every opportunity for adventure. Katie looked forward to the simple pleasures, such as watching football and racing with her dad, which enriched her life and deepened her bonds with family. A cherished daughter, she had an unbreakable connection with her mother, who she referred to as her lifeline. Their relationship was one of profound love, support, and daily shared memories that will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to witness it.
In addition to her parents, Katie is survived by her brother, Christopher, and his wife, Nicole, as well as her nephew, Lucas, and niece, Jayden. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Thelma Christine Raynes, several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
