Sandra Jane Pendleton

Sandra Jane Pendleton, 76, of Orrick, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Sandra was born on March 25, 1947, in Excelsior Springs, the daughter of Horace and Opal (Smith) Craven. She was united in marriage to Ronald Lee Pendleton of Orrick on June 25, 1965; he survives of the home.
Sandra also leaves behind her granddaughter, Josephine "Josie" Gowing of Orrick, and her faithful companion, Molly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Jennifer Gowing, and brother, Gary Cravens.
Sandra was reared and educated in the area of her birth and graduated from Excelsior Springs High School. She then attended William Jewell College, where she received her bachelor's degree in education. Sandra was a high school teacher for 30 years in the Orrick School District. She enjoyed traveling with her friends, time spent with her granddaughter, and sewing. Sandra was a member of the First Baptist Church of Orrick. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Visitation with funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Orrick, with visitation beginning at 11:00 A.M., with services to follow at 12:00 P.M. Interment will be in Pisgah Cemetery, Excelsior Springs. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of arrangements.
