Sandra Ann Hatcher Phillips, 62 of Stony Point, died Monday, October 28, 2024, at Iredell Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born in Anderson County, South Carolina on January 7, 1962, to the late Cleo David Hatcher, Jr., and Vivian Moore Hatcher.
Sandy was a graduate of Parkland High School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and worked for Lexington Home Brands in Hildebran. She enjoyed crafting and online shopping. Some of her favorite times were cooking and decorating for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Her collection of Santa’s was quite impressive.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 26 years, Richard “Alan” Phillips, a son, Nathan Nance, two sisters, Diana Page (Danny) and Brenda Shumate, and a special cousin who was very close to, Arleane Gales and her husband, Stephen. She also leaves behind her precious cats, Mya and Paisley.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Doug Nab officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 11796, Charlotte, NC 28220.
