Sandra "Sandy" Marie (Scheppke) Pistorius, 78, passed away at the Meadowbrook Care Facility in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, on March 25, 2024.
Sandy was born to Clifford and Freida (Ryder) Scheppke on August 18, 1945, in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The family later relocated to Black River Falls, Wisconsin, where she grew up with her two sisters, Peggy and Kathy. After graduating from Black River Falls High School, Sandy moved to Winona, Minnesota, where she attended secretary school.
In 1963, while in school, she met David Pistorius who was also attending college in Winona. The two quickly fell in love and were married on July 31, 1965. Together they had two boys, Scott and Brian, and frequently moved across the Midwest, making homes in Omaha, NE, Olathe, KS, and Des, Moines, IA, before settling back in Black River Falls. This July would have marked Dave and Sandy's 59th wedding anniversary.
Sandy is survived by her devoted husband, David, her two boys; Scott (Mia) Pistorius and Brian (Shannon) Pistorius, grandchildren; Jared Pistorius, Pascha Fountain, Adam Pistorius, and Halle Pistorius, and her sisters Kathy Kuhlman and Peggy (Bill) Johnson.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Freida.
No funeral services are planned at this time.
