Obituary of Sandra Ann Ramirez
Sandra Ann Ramirez "Sandy Leyba", was born on August 1, 1955 and lived to be 68 years old. God called her home on April 17, 2024 at 3:25pm surrounded by her children and grand children. Sandra was born and raised in Castroville California to Jacob P. Leyba and Jennie R. De La Torre and had 10 siblings.
Sandra was a loving and dedicated mother to 4 children, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Her children and her grandchildren were her entire world. The love and dedication that she had for her legacy was impenetrable, unconditional and fierce.
Sandra was a loving and caring woman who liked to have fun. She was selfless and was always willing to help anyone in need. Sandra was a social butterfly and had many friends whom she cherished.
Sandra had many hobbies including shopping, selling jewelry and makeup, going on trips and watching the 49ers play during football season. Christmas and Thanksgiving were her favorite time of the year because she loved to spend time with her family.
Her education history includes high school with some college. Sandra was a very hard worker, sometimes working two and three jobs to provide for her children. She started work from the age of 16 in a variety of jobs such as agriculture and retail. She worked for the Department of Social Services for 18 years until she retired.
Sandra was an avid Christian who loved going to church and singing Christian music. She loved taking her grandchildren to church and teaching them about Jesus. Sandra would worship the Lord any chance she had and would spread the word about his love to anyone who would listen.
Sandra was strong, beautiful, resilient and protective. She taught her children and grandchildren to be strong and to look out for one another.
Sandra is preceded in death by her three brothers Ernest Molina, Ernest Leyba and Jacob Leyba Jr. and her parents Jacob P. Leyba Sr. and Jennie R. De La Torre.
Sandra is survived by her loving children Lisa Dolores Pacheco, Jennie Theresa Torres, Jose Antonio Aguilar and Felicia Ann Gallegos and all of her grandchildren and her great grand child.
A viewing will be held on Monday April 29, 2024 at the Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Rd., Salinas, CA from 12pm to 1pm for family and from 1pm to 6pm for the public.
Her funeral ceremony will be on Tuesday April 30, 2024 at 10am at the Healey Mortuary followed by her Burial at Castroville Cemetery in Moss Landing.
A Celebration of Life will be held after Burial at 1pm at the American Legion Hall, 8300 Prunedale North Rd. Prunedale, Ca
