In Loving Memory of Sandra Ramirez

Sandra Ramirez, lifelong resident of the Bay Area, passed away peacefully at home in San Ramon, California, surrounded by her loving family, on October 14, 2025. She was 70 years old.

Born on January 30, 1955, at Hayward Hospital in Hayward, California, Sandra grew up on Tarman Avenue. A proud graduate of Sunset High School's Class of 1973, she was a phenomenal athlete who excelled in tennis, volleyball, softball, and basketball. She enjoyed archery, was an avid reader, and a passionate toy enthusiast who loved collecting unique and nostalgic pieces. She loved adventures and served as the family historian, always sharing stories that celebrated the family's roots, memories, and adventures.

Sandra continued her education and earned the degree of Associate in Arts, Business Administration from Chabot College in 1982. She was accepted into the University of California, Berkeley, an accomplishment she took great pride in. Although she was unable to attend, she always represented the school and proudly wore her UC Berkeley sweatshirt as a symbol of her achievement and determination.

Sandra dedicated much of her life to her family's cherished business, Los Compadres Mexican Restaurant in Hayward, California. For decades, she greeted generations of customers who became like family, known for her warmth, quick wit, and the way she made everyone feel at home.

Sandra is survived by her mother, Teresa Ramirez; her siblings Ignacio Ramirez, Marcela Ramirez, Edith (Edie) Trujillo, Astrid Maldonado, and Eric Ramirez; and her beloved nieces and nephews: Veronica Rodriguez, Ignacio Ramirez-Valentine, Michael Ramirez, Elisa Márquez, James Ramirez, Diego Ramirez II, Nicolas Ramirez, Stephen Ramirez, Richard Maldonado, Megan Trujillo, Anthony Maldonado, Jonathan Maldonado and Analisa Noemi Garcia. She is also survived by more than twenty great-nieces and great-nephews who adored her and will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ignacio Ramirez, her sister Noemi Márquez, and her brother Diego Ramirez.

Sandra's legacy of love, laughter, and dedication to her family and community will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Funeral services for Sandra will be held on Wednesday, October 29th at the following location: Holy Sepulchre Funeral Center 1051 Harder Rd Hayward, Ca 94542 11:00am-12:30pm Public Visitation Eulogy starts at 11:30am. Funeral Mass at 1:00pm-2:00pm in the Mausoleum of the Apostles. Followed by the Burial at 2:30pm in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
