Sandra Kay Redd, 75, left this world peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at her residence in Gibsonville. She was born on April 26, 1950 in Alamance County.

She worked at the Day Program with Vocational Trades of Alamance County, where her spirit and dedication shone brightly. Sandra formerly attended Grove Park Baptist Church, where she cherished her time with the Sunshine Sunday School Class.

Sandra’s hobbies were a vibrant reflection of her playful nature. She enjoyed working with her Busy Apron, an endeavor that brought her joy and purpose. Sandra was a happy person and was filled with laughter as she watched television and played games with her housemates and staff. The corners of her room were lovingly occupied by an extensive collection of Baby Dolls, each one a testament to her nurturing spirit. She never met a stranger and was formerly active with the Celebration Singers and Special Olympics.

Sandra is survived by her loving brothers, Rodney Robert Redd, Terry “Mike” Michael Redd and his wife Debbie, and Thomas "Tommy" David Redd and his wife Rose. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews who will carry her memory in their hearts. She has now been reunited with her beloved parents, George Robert Redd and Mary Frances Overbey Redd Saunders, in eternal rest.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Sandra will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by her brother, Mike. The burial at Alamance Memorial Park will be private. The family will receive friends from 12:30PM to 1:45PM Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Sandra Kay Redd’s legacy of kindness, compassion, and joy will forever leave an imprint on the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
