Sandra Kaye Reed, 68, of Wildwood, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family members on June 28, 2025.
Sandra was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee and was raised in New England, Georgia. Following graduation from Dade County High School, she completed cosmetology training and enjoyed a 45 plus year career as a hair stylist serving hundreds of clients with exceptional skill and artistry, a genuine passion, and uncompromising personalized attention for which she was known. In fact, many of Sandras clients would become some of her best friends. Outside of her career life, Sandra enjoyed exercising (Yoga, walking, hiking, biking), painting, making jewelry, music, traveling, and most importantly, spending time with family and friends.
Sandra was a consummate wife and mother, was a compassionate friend to everyone, and expressed her profound Christian convictions daily with action and deeds. She lived a life of grace, dignity, and optimism which she continued to demonstrate throughout an over two-year battle with ovarian cancer. But, most of all, it was that twinkle in Sandras eyes, her contagious smile, and that sweet personality that we will always remember.
Sandra is survived by her husband of 47 years, George; her son, Joshua; her daughter, Alice Nicole; her mother, Virginia Wallen; her sister, Alice Sutphin; her granddaughter, Virginia Claire; as well as several cousins, aunts, uncles, and in-laws.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church on August 2, 2025 at 11:00 AM to celebrate the life of Sandra Kaye Reed. In lieu flowers, the family requests a donation to the charity of your preference.
