Sandra Richardson, 71, of Advance, passed away peacefully at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home on Friday, May 9, 2025. She was born in Winston-Salem, NC, on September 25, 1953, to the late Norman and Doris Cox. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by her husband, William Richardson. Sandra retired from Wackenhut Security. She loved the beach and going on cruises. She had cruised over 20 times and went to the beach as much as she could. Sandra was known for her kind heart and was always helping others. If you needed her, she was there with open arms. Sandra will be missed by many but remembered for all she did. Surviving are her loving daughter, Heather Smith; brothers, Norris Cox (Diana), Dean Cox, and Brad Cox; sisters, Judy Blankenship (Ernie) and Nan Davis; stepdaughters, Lynn Thompson (Jack) and Karen Richardson; along with several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103, or by visiting www.trellissupport.org.
