Sandra "Sandy" Schempp King passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, in South Jordan, Utah, at the age of 62.
Born on March 10, 1963, in Provo, Utah, Sandy was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her. Sandy dedicated her life to caring for others, earning a nursing degree from Salt Lake Community College in her 40's. This accomplishment demonstrated her determination and deep commitment to helping those in need.
Sandy proudly raised four daughters: Jessica (Ryan), Jordan, Lauren, and Kayla (Mark). She also embraced the joy of being a grandmother to four beloved grandchildren: Hallie, Rylie, Ronin and Taron. She was the oldest of six children, leaving behind her brothers and sisters: Keith (Candi), Christine (Mel), Lisa (David), Karl (Shari) and Kelly, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Sandy is also survived by her former spouses, Randy Judd, with whom she shared twenty years while raising their daughters, and Dana King, with whom she spent a meaningful chapter of her life.
Sandy is preceded in death by her loving parents, Lloyd and Beth Schempp, whose guidance helped shape her into the compassionate and remarkable person she was.
Beyond her career, Sandy's love of music brought joy to many as she skillfully played the piano, violin, and organ. For years, she served as an organist in her LDS church, sharing her talent and enriching countless worship services. Sandy will be remembered for her adventurous and fun-loving spirit. Whether hiking Mount Timpanogos or enjoying a dish of chocolate ice cream, she embraced life with warmth and positivity.
Sandy faced life's challenges with quiet strength and unwavering grace. Her legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, August 23rd, from 12 - 2 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary & Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, followed by memorial services.
