Sandra Sass was born on May 21, 1966 in Detroit, Michigan and passed away on April 27, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was a free-spirited and abundantly kind artist who touched the lives of many with her generosity and creativity.

Sandra's career as an author and teacher allowed her to inspire and educate others, leaving a lasting impact on those she encountered. Beyond her professional endeavors, Sandra found joy in painting, creating stories, camping, and watching K-Dramas, and staying just a phone call away for whenever anyone needed to talk, showcasing her diverse interests and passions.

She is survived by her siblings, Karen Sass, Pam Cahaly, Cathy Petty, Jeff Sass; her children, Ben Sass and Katie-Sue Metzel; her grandchildren, Charli and Ivy Metzel and her nieces and nephews, Emma Sass, Zach, Jay, and Katie Petty, Christina and James Cahaly. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, John and Yvonne Sass.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Sandra will be held on Saturday, at noon, May 4, 2024 at 35 Buford Rd East, to commemorate her remarkable life and the memories she created. Covington Funeral Home has charge of cremation services and is assisting the family during this difficult time.

Sandra Sass will be remembered for her artistic spirit, her unwavering kindness, and the love she shared with all who knew her. May she rest in peace, leaving behind a legacy of creativity and compassion.
