Sandra Kay Schlotz, 74, of Double Oak, TX, passed away on May 17th, 2022 in Dallas, TX. Sandra was born in Odessa, TX to Howard and Aza Lee Griffin on April 5, 1948. She married Randy Schlotz on November 27, 1970, in Odessa, TX. She graduated from Odessa High School, attended Odessa College, and graduated from Texas Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics. She worked as a Teacher for Lewisville Independent School District for twenty years.
Sandra was a loving and devoted wife to her husband Randy, and a caring mother to her children John and Leigh. She loved to read, take vacations, and spend time with family. She was a very caring and giving person.
Sandra is preceded in death by her father, Howard Griffin, her grandmother, Pearl Courtney, and her uncles, Max and Eldon Courtney.
Sandra is survived by her husband of 51 years, Randy, son John Schlotz and wife Sara, daughter Leigh McCormick, sister Norma Crew and husband Marvin, sister Joann Callow and husband Robert, mother Aza Lee Griffin, grandson William Schlotz, nephew Dane Crew and wife Courtney, their children Cameron, Christian, Shane, and Kylie, niece Courtney Crosby and husband Mike, niece Jaime Callow and son Jaxon, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, May 26th at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home with the Pastor Rich Mussler officiating. Burial will follow at Rolling Oaks Cemetery. Arrangements are by Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home.
The family of Sandra Schlotz wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Mehta, Dr. Baryman, and the nurses at Baylor Scott & White Hospital.
