It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Sandra Schumerth, age 75, of Appleton, on September 21, 2024. Sandy was born May 22, 1949 in Green Bay and adopted by the late Leo and Charlotte Schumerth. Sandy earned a Bachelor’s degree in art education from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and a Master’s degree in education from Purdue University. She was an elementary school art teacher in Gary, Indiana for several years. After additional education, she moved to Appleton and retired from the IT department of the Menasha Corporation of Neenah in 2014.
Survivers include a sister, Mary Pat Crozier, Taylors, SC, a niece and nephew, a great niece and nephew, an aunt and several cousins.
Friends are invited to A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate at 11:00 am on Friday, November 15 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1810 N. McDonald St, Appleton.
In lieu of flowers, donations to an animal shelter of your choice are appreciated.
