Sandra Jo Sexton, also known as "Sandy," age 70 of
Moore, Oklahoma, was born on December 16, 1955, in
Madill, Oklahoma, and passed away peacefully with close family by her side on January 18, 2026.
Sandy was a woman of independence, ambition, and determination. If there was something that needed to be done right, she was the one to call on. She loved her family indefinitely. Everyone knew she was one with the biggest heart-one who gave freely of her time, love, and support to everyone around her. Her passion was to be at home with both of her girls while they were growing up and was actively involved in their schools as a home room mom, substitute teacher, and the Treasurer of the PTA.
Mrs. Sexton dedicated many years as a Softball, Dance, and Pom Mom and later Coach giving encouragement and care into young ladies that would claim her as a "Second Mom". One of her favorite things to do with the softball girls, of both teams... The Cardinals and The Checquers, were to make sure that the girls knew how to TP houses and to most of all have fun.
Her giving spirit also led her to volunteer at Norman Health Plex in the NICU unit where she would rock the babies and pour her endless love nature of each of them and touched countless families. Above all, Sandy loved taking care of her grandchildren. They were her pride and joy, and her life revolved around making sure they felt loved, supported, and cherished.
She is survived by her daughters, Trish Kuhlman and husband Caleb, and Mindy Sexton and fiancé Bradley Presley; her beloved grandchildren, Sophie Kuhlman, GraceLynn Sexton, and Asher Presley.
Her brother, Rick Self of Newcastle; her sister, Karla and husband Mitch Pierce of OKC; and Brother-in-law Steve Ervin of Arlington, TX.
Many nieces and nephews, Michael Self, Mandy Self, Derek Self, Madisan Self, Krystle Hall, Kendra Pierce, Candiance Melton, Jason Melton and Autumn Cannaday. She is also survived by her aunts and uncle: Linda Ohagen and husband Ken, Bobbi Stover and husband Donnie, Cline Johnson and wife Patty, and Barbara Pezdirc, and Aunt Connie and husband John Kalinski, and sister-in-law Karen Johnson.
