Sandra C. Texeira

Sandra Calderon Texeira, age 61 of Knoxville, TN, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022 at her home. Sandy was born in Brooklyn, NY to Loida and Victor Moldonado and was a fun, loving and kind spirit. She loved to dance, travel and spend time with family and friends. She showed her creative side by making jewelry to benefit breast cancer awareness and volunteered as the "canteen lady" at Pine Bush Bible Camp. Sandy never knew a stranger and made friends everywhere she went. She will always be remembered for being the life of the party and always having a smile on her face.
Sandy is survived and will be forever missed by children, Christopher Reteguiz and wife Alyse, Crystal Van Over and husband Barry, Chelsey Texeira, Caleb Texeira; grandchildren, Luca Van Over, Mila Van Over, Ezra Reteguiz, Penelope Reteguiz; siblings, Michelle Schneider, Cindy Constant, Carlos Calderon, Eduardo Calderon; and other extended family and friends.
The Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 30th at 7:00pm, Rose Funeral and Cremation- Mann, 6200 Kingston Pike, with Minister Henry Sanchez officiating. The family will receive friends prior beginning at 5:00pm. On Saturday, October 1st, we will meet at Highland West Cemetery, 9913 Sherrill Blvd., at 11:00 am for the Graveside Service.
