Rock Hill, South Carolina - Sandra Casey Thrift, 79, passed away on December 13, 2025. She was born on December 5, 1946, to the late Ralph Casey and Ruth Lambert Buffington. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Casey.
She is survived by her daughters, Renee Burt (Raymond) and Kathryn Thompson (Wesley); her son, Chris Thrift; her brother, Edward Casey (Louanne); her sister-in-law, Carolyn Casey; her grandchildren, RJ Burt (Kathryn), Bryan Burt (Brittney), Kolben Thompson, and Brycen Thompson. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Rhett Burt and Rhyker Burt; and many nieces and nephews.
Sandra worked at United Supply Company and Springs Industries. She loved her family deeply, never met a stranger, and found joy in reading and spending time with her church family.
A funeral ceremony will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 2 PM at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, South Carolina 29732, with Pastor Jerry Devinney officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park – Cherry Road, 620 S. Cherry Road, Rock Hill, South Carolina 29732.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Sandra's name to the Humane Society of York County, 8177 Regent Pkwy, Fort Mill, South Carolina 29715.

So sorry to hear about Sandra. She was such a good friend. We all grew up together on the Mill Hill in Fort Mill. We were all like family. She will always have a special place in our hearts. Kathy we are praying for and your family. Know that we love you all.
