Sandra Lynn Tomko, 82, of Bluffton, SC, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Vineyard of Bluffton.
Born January 3, 1943, in Scranton, PA, Sandra was the daughter of the late Edward McCracken and Evelyn Brownell Watkins. She grew up in Scranton and later settled in North Andover, MA, with her beloved husband, Richard Tomko, where they raised their family. In 2004, Sandra and Richard retired to Bluffton, SC, embracing a new chapter filled with friends and community.
Sandra will be remembered for her fun-loving spirit, her kindness, and her willingness to lend a helping hand. She had a gift for making others feel welcome and cherished, and a natural knack for home decorating that made every space warm and inviting. She enjoyed bocce ball, playing Canasta, and gathering with friends at Dinner Club—always finding joy in the company of others.
For the past 11 years, Sandra embraced life to the fullest with her cherished companion, Jerry. Together, they shared a love for dancing, relaxing by the pool, and exploring the vibrant culinary scene in Hilton Head and Beaufort. Their adventures took them traveling, cruising, and on countless road trips, all while enjoying time with family and friends and creating treasured memories that will last forever.
Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, on December 7, 2012. She is survived by her daughters, Jacquelyn Villar (Raul) of Salt Lake City, UT, and Tracy Loban (Joshua) of Westborough, MA; her companion, Jerry Jarboe of Bluffton, SC; her sister, Sherry Moore of Scranton, PA; and her cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Julia, Jenna, Katie, and Chase.
