Sandra Y. Watts passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Trinity Hospital. Sandra was born July 10, 1946, in Brooklyn, NY, to Terry Sr. and Arlene Butler. While Sandra's parents moved to Chicago to look for a new home and work, Sandra lived with her loving grandparents attending kindergarten at Lindbergh Elementary School. After kindergarten, Sandra moved with her parents to Argo, Illinois where she graduated Argo Community Schools. After high school, Sandra married her high school sweetheart, James Willie Watts and to this union a son, William, was born. Sandra worked over 30 years for the Muskegon Heights Public Schools before retiring. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, quilting, crocheting, and knitting. Sandra also enjoyed attending weekly bible class over the years. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Sandra's memories will be cherished by her son, William (LaVonne) Watts; siblings: Christine Butler, Roy (Essie) Butler, Russell (Brenda) Butler; sisters-in-law, Gwen Butler, and Danita Watts-Pugh; special friends Barb Lenoir and Ethel Gordon; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Willie Watts; parents, Terry, Sr and Arlene; brothers, Terry, Jr and Charles and sister Maxine. A memorial service will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, October 4, 2025, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey Street, Norton Shores, MI 49444.
