Sandra Kay Wodzinski

On Thursday, November 28, 2024, Sandra Kay Wodzinski, 82, of Manistique, Michigan passed away peacefully at home with family by her side. She was born on December 12,1941 to her parents Floyd and Virginia (Olmsted) Anderson in Isabella, MI. She was a graduate of Manistique High School.
On October 19, 1988, the former Sandra Anderson became Mrs. Sandra Kay Wodzinski when she married her one true love, Richard Joel Wodzinski, in Escanaba, MI. They spent the greater part of their lives living in Manistique where they raised six children together. Sandra enjoyed over thirty years of employment working at the Manistique Area Schools.
Sandra loved to paint, especially animals she adored, along with people with their different expressions, and aura. She loved painting flowers that were in full bloom, vibrant in color and beauty. Sandra enjoyed puttering in her garden and loved her black Labrador Retrievers. Sandra and her husband owned Christopher's Antique Shop on Oak Street in Manistique and took much pride in treasures they would find for their shop. Customers included members of her community in addition to the many people who would return year after year while on vacation or just passing through. The antique shop was Sandra's happy place.
Sandra is survived by her husband of thirty-six years, Richard Wodzinski; sons, Jeff (Renee) Letson of Rochester Hills, MI; Conrad (Cindi) Letson of Winter Springs, FL, and Todd (Christine) Wodzinski of Troy, MI; daughters, Candy (Kirk) Stanley of Thompson, MI; Tammy (Larry Matchinski) of Manistique, MI, and Kristin Andreae of Marquette, MI. Sandra is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with her brother, Larry (Gloria) Anderson of Isabella, MI. A special thank you to Carol Strauser and Kelly and Randy Hatinger for their long and beautiful friendship with Sandra.
Preceding Sandra in death were her parents, Floyd and Virginia, her sister Carol and brother Daryl.
Donations made in Sandra's honor may be directed to the Schoolcraft County Community Foundation.
As per the family's wishes, no services will be held at this time.
