Sandra Zeniecki Obituary

Sandra L. Zeniecki (Nee Skoglund) went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 24, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer, at the age of 78 years. Beloved wife of 40 years to Gregory Zeniecki. Dear mother of Paul (Danielle) Williams, Jenny (Mark) Brost, and Debra (Bret) Barnes. Cherished grandmother of Haley Brost, Ryan (Kalyna) Williams, Jordan Brost, and Bret Barnes. Further survived by three sisters: Kathy (Fred) Reimesch, Susan Cairns, and June Sindric, along with many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Loretta Skoglund, and brother, Ronald Skoglund.
Sandy was a selfless, loving person, known for her generosity and kind heart. She lived to help others, and her love language was definitely giving. She had a mind of her own, strong and fiercely protective of those she loved. Her giving nature was boundless, touching the lives of everyone she met.
In her final days, Sandy expressed immense gratitude for the life she lived. She often spoke of how thankful she was for the many blessings she experienced and the beautiful journey of her life. Her heart was full as she reflected on the memories she created with those she loved.
Sandy was surrounded by an enormous amount of love and support while in the hospital. The visits from friends and family, the shared memories, and the heartfelt words of encouragement brought her immense joy. These gestures of love and support meant the world to her and were a constant source of comfort, making her smile even during challenging times.
She had a deep and abiding love for her children and grandchildren, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She delighted in making memories and took great joy in witnessing all of her grandchildren's "firsts." Christmas held a special place in her heart, and her family will forever cherish their last Christmas with her when she dressed as Mrs. Claus, affectionately known as "Sandy Claus."
Sandy devoted 38 years to her role as an Emergency Department Technician at Froedtert Hospital, where she genuinely cared for and impacted countless lives. Known affectionately by her friends at Froedtert as "Grandma Sandy" or "Granny," she was celebrated as a beautiful soul and a hard-working individual. The love and support she showed and poured into so many people have left a lasting impact on their lives. She cherished her colleagues and friends at Froedtert, as evidenced by the abundant love and support they had shown to Sandy and her family before her ascension to heaven.
As a reflection of Sandy's character and faith, we remember Philippians 2:3-4: "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others."
A celebration of Sandy's life will take place at Harder Funeral Home on November 7, 2025, from 3-5:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 5:00 PM. A private family burial will be held on November 8, 2025, at Highland Memorial Park.
