Sandy Clark, 68 of Oskaloosa passed away Wednesday evening, September 11, 2024 at the Pella Regional Health Center. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in New Sharon. Burial will be held in the Highland Cemetery in New Sharon. Visitation will begin after 12:00 pm Monday, September 16, 2024 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in New Sharon with the family present from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of New Sharon is in charge of arrangements.
Sandra Kay Clark, the daughter of Harold and Donna (Bradley) Koch, was born on April 29, 1956 in Sigourney, Iowa. She graduated from Tri-County High School with the class of 1974. On April 12, 1974, Sandy was united in marriage to Roger Clark at the Baptist Church in What Cheer. To this union two children were born, Carmen and Christopher. Sandy was stay at home mom, raising her children and taking care of her family. She also babysat for several years with having the opportunity to babysit all of her grandchildren. Family was very important to Sandy and she never missed a football game, softball game, wrestling match, Figure 8 race, bowling tournament or whatever else her grandchildren were involved in no matter how sick she was. She enjoyed birdwatching, taking care of her flower garden, doing puzzles, playing painting games on her cell phone, bowling, going to Bingo in What Cheer with her sisters and she cherished her dog, JJ. She was also an excellent cook and best known for making Deviled Eggs and/or making nothing into something. Sandy was also a member of the 500 Club in Oskaloosa.
Her legacy will be honored by her husband of 50 years, Roger Clark of Oskaloosa; her children, Carmen (Corey) Danner of Oskaloosa and Christopher Clark of Oskaloosa; her grandchildren, Dylon (Hailey) Danner, Rayne Clark, Clayton (Kalliann) Danner, Angelyka Clark, Damion Clark and Payton Clark; one great grandchild, Brynlee Danner with one on the way; two sisters, Vicky Hartwig of What Cheer and Pat (Gary) Hadsell of Tracy; two sisters-in-law, Barbara (Thomas) Bowler and Rosemary Ford; a brother-in-law, Steve Clark along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Donna Koch and three brothers, Rick Koch, Kenneth Koch and Harold Koch.
