Sandy Parks Obituary
She was born September 17, 1961, in Carlisle to the late John H. and JoHanna (Erickson) Wert.
Sandy was a 1979 graduate of Carlisle High School. She was formerly employed by Kinney Shoe and Lear before ending her employment at Carlisle Christian Academy working with children. Four years ago, Sandy was blessed with a grandson who always made her smile. When Sandy wasn't working or spending time with family, she enjoyed cross stitching, reading and playing computer games. She loved and collected Stephen King books and anything related to Garfield.
Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Ricky Lee Parks of Carlisle; one son, Johnathan (wife Brittany) Parks of Carlisle; one grandson, Emmett Parks; one sister, Terri L. (husband Gordon) Kelly of Carlisle; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services and interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Sandy to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Road Harrisburg, PA 17110.

I am so sorry to hear of Sandy's passing. She was the best friend I had, so much so we considered each other as sisters. We lost touch over the years, but managed to reconnect thru Facebook. Please know that you all are in my prayers, especially at this time of the year.

I'm saddened to hear about Sandy. She was always fun to chat with; especially about our shared love of Garfield. Sandy was a wonderful woman and will be greatly missed by all those who were lucky enough to have known her. You have my mist sincere sympathies.
