Sandy Woodard Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 20, 2025.
Saundra Ann "Sandy" Woodard, 74, of Ravenna, Texas, passed away on November 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a short and courageous battle with cancer.
Born and raised in Texas, Sandy moved to McKinney in 1964, where she attended and graduated from McKinney High School. In the mid-1990s, she settled in Ravenna-a community she cherished deeply and proudly called home.
Sandy was an avid bird watcher and nature enthusiast who found joy and peace in the outdoors. She was a devoted member of Ravenna Baptist Church and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Her heart for service and love for her community shone through in everything she did. Kind, generous, and endlessly supportive, Sandy was simply the best of us.
She is preceded in death by her parents, C.T. and Lois Franklin, and her loving husband, Kim Woodard.
Sandy is survived by her beloved children, Angie Davis of McKinney and Marcus Woodard of Ravenna; her cherished grandchildren, Jade, Bo, and Syler; her sister, Peggy Franklin of McKinney; and her uncle, George Sullivan. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
A private family graveside service will be held.
