Mary Ella Fisher

Mary Ella (Bolton) Fisher, age 98, passed away on August 10, 2025, in Richardson, Texas, and was a longtime resident of Rowlett. Mary was born on July 9, 1927, in McKinney, Texas, to parents Paul Sylvanis Bolton and Hattie Nora (Samples) Bolton.

Mary graduated from McKinney High School and started working for Employers Casualty Insurance of Texas at the young age of 16 and remained there until they closed their doors in January of 1994. She and Glenn Franklin Fisher were married on July 4, 1974, at the Highland Park home of her late sister, Peggy (Bolton) Bishop.

Mary had a true knack for decorating and loved estate sale shopping. She was well known to many of the antique dealers in the Dallas area. Mary loved entertaining friends and getting together to play board games. She especially liked Texas Canasta.

Mary and Glenn were longtime members of Rowlett First United Methodist Church where they were part of the Agape Sunday School Class and leave behind many friends and associates.

Family members preceding her in death were: her parents; brother, Robert Bolton; sisters, Paula (Bolton) Lambert and Peggy (Bolton) Bishop; nephews, Johnny Paul Bishop and Robert Bolton, Jr.

Family members surviving are: husband, Glenn Fisher of Rowlett; brother, Ray Bolton of Rowlett; nephews, Kenneth Bolton and wife Margaret; Jeffrey Bishop and wife Barbara; niece, Gina (Bishop) Corwin; along with numerous great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Rest Haven Funeral Home Rowlett. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park in Rockwall, Texas. The family will gather with friends prior to the service beginning at 9:00 am.
