Santiago nació el 25 de Julio del 1966, en Tuzantlan, Guerrero. Hijo de Maria Guevara y el fallecido Félix Benítez.
A Santiago le enorgullecías su sazón en la cocina, y la comida compartiría con los demás. Santiago tenía una gran personalidad que su familia extrañara muchísimo. Por encima de todo, Santiago tenía el corazón tan grande que le encantaba cuidar a los gatos callejeros y darles un hogar.
A Santiago lo sobrevive su hijo Brian Benítez, su madre Maria Guevara, Sus hermanas Martha, Maria, Eduarda, Ambrocia, Cristina, Virginia y hermano Alejandro.
Santiago será recibido por su difunto padre Felix Benitez y hermanos Benito y Rosario y sobrino Jonny de Jesús Tellez Benitez.
Santiago será profundamente extrañado por sus amigos y familiares, pero su Espíritu seguirá viviendo en los corazones de aquellos que los conocieron.
