Santo Borruso passed away on December 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
A New York Mets fanatic, Star Wars nerd, and Sting superfan, Santo was beloved by all for his brightness, his humor, and his constant kindness.
Born on July 10, 1972, to Eda Siviglia and Jack Borruso, Santo was raised in Queens, and then later moved to
Valley Stream, NY in high school. Raised by a large Italian family of aunts, uncles, and cousins, he was surrounded by love throughout his childhood.
His move to Valley Stream defined the rest of his life. It was there he found his love for music and musical theatre, made some of his closest friends, and met his future wife, Beth Ann Schultz. After high school, Santo pursued an English degree at the University of Rochester, and always told happy stories about the love he had for his friends, courses, and for the jazz radio show he hosted there.
Santo moved on to attend Fordham Law School, which led to a career as a litigation attorney - 24 years of which was spent at Nixon Peabody which quickly became his work family. In each phase of his life, Santo made lifelong friends. That is how magnetic he really was.
He married his wife and the love of his life, Beth Ann Schultz, in 2001, and they moved to Rockville Centre in 2002. Their daughter Sarah was born in 2005, followed by their son Ryan in 2007 and their daughter Katie in 2010.
There was nothing he wouldn't do for his family and especially for his children. He was their greatest supporter, constantly showing up for them, inspiring them, and raising them with the selflessness and kindness he always carried in his own heart.
Santo's mother, Eda, instilled a love for traveling in Santo, and one of his life's joys was vacationing with his family. He would meticulously plan every itinerary with care, making each trip perfect for his kids. He loved Disney World, and some of his family's best traditions took place there, including his engagement to Beth, at his happiest place on earth.
Santo was widely known to have pristine taste in music and movies, raising his kids on Billy Joel and Star Wars. His kids are especially thankful for his obsession with music, which has filled their lives with joy.
Santo passed away after a too short, but hard-fought battle with stage IV pancreatic cancer. He loved life, had so much left to live for and was not ready to leave his family.
Santo was the beloved husband of 24 years to Beth Ann Schultz. Devoted father to Sarah, Ryan, and Katie. Cherished son of Eda Siviglia (Vincent) and Jack Borruso (Laura). Loving brother to Lauren Castellane (John) and Juliana Borruso. Son-in-law to Mary and Charles Schultz. Brother-in-law to Buddy Schultz (Sarah). Proud uncle to Connor, Joshua, Natalie, Austin, and Benjamin
